In overall, I think invading the Mobile Suit injection kit market space is doomed with lawsuit. But an injection kit market space is available... see Kotobukiya, Wave, Hasegawa (for Macross) and Fine Mold. Small, yet it's there.
A way for a new injection model manufacturer is renewal of old models; something like what Nitto or Imai did (that was not bought out by Bandai); or stuff that Bandai for some reason see no interest and willing to license it out (again, Macross). But both cases mean we would have to establish long negotiation with license holders, who're in Japan, with a different negotiation and business culture, and language barrier.
My thinking? free web comics & free downloadable web game to promote our own mecha design. Harder, but the control (& profit) is all ours.

Why not design our own MS? Is "Mobile Suit" okay or has Bandai copy
righted the term "Mobile Suit"?
Designs like the Destiny Gundam go overboard. I don't like overboard
mecha designs. The Gouf and Gouf Custom are my favorite enemy mecha
designs. G. Custom has an huge Gatling gun but it's disposable. I'd love
to see the Gouf in Char's colors!
