I've created a MSN group that we can use just to keep everyone's email
addresses available.

The site to join up is http://groups.msn.com/GML-mkII/homepage

It'd be kinda nice to upload stuff to the site that is
persistent...nothing more annoying than going to a link and getting a
404.

I'd encourage everyone to only use the MSN site to share files, and it
should notify everyone signed up there when there is new stuff.

Subject: [gundam] List membership

>>>>>>>>>>>>
That is the thing...

If we were ever booted off of Ben's hardware with warning it would be no
problem to resurrect the list on one of my work servers. Hopefully we'd
be able to get the gundam.com domain pointed over, as well as getting
the membership list...

But as you say, if the lights went out without warning there would be
little recourse. It's not like we can even parse the mailing list
archives to get the active posters, as the mail-archive.org site strips
out email addresses.

Something to potentially be worried about, for sure.

In once sense I don't think this will end up being a problem. I mean
how long did the old GML go on even though the original creator/founder
was no longer paying any attention (or at least was not active ) to the
list.

I think we should start a post that all of us add our name and e-mail
addresses to in case this event ever comes to pass. I will add my name
to start the post. Add your name to the list and then keep a copy of
the final tally. Then we can get a hold of each other in the event of a
catastrophe to reform.
