Except that it wasn't really even funny.  I give you points for effort, but
that's about it.

Someone tried a "Tomino Died!" stunt a couple of years ago (the same year
that MAHQ.net got 'taken over' by a medical group), and got jumped on for
it.  Morbid news typically isn't a good April Fools joke.  On the other
hand, if you were to announce a faux new series or new model (for instance,
the Perfect Master Super - or PMS - Grade model of a suit piloted by a
female particularly well-known for her attitude), that would probably go
over a lot better.

Just some thoughts, since I imagine you'll try again next year.
