I have to agree with the "adult shows" aspect. Even though I had been waiting for it to come out, I must say how disappointed I was when Eureka 7 came on CN this weekend. When that whiney kid opened his mouth and I realized that I identified more with his grandfather than him, I realized that this show just wasn't going to do it for me. I suddenly realized how much I would like to see a mecha show with grown up characters, like Kou or Shiro or the guy from Blue Gender, who may be flawed, but at least start out as mature. Sheesh, as much as I despised him, even Shin is better than this endless rehashing of "stupid kid finds robot left by father and saves the universe crap" we keep getting.
