I agree with you about the animals. I just thought you might be interested in hearing about the slugs that got cut out of ROTS.
Interested, amused and mildly relieved that no one made an Alice in Wonderland reference in the SW world. What's next, an Obiwen ghost who fades away but leave behind a lingering smile? Anyway there was a cultural shifts from Republic troops to Empire troops right? I don't think a Strom Trooper ever takes off his mask and smile at his commander. So even someone working for the Hutts may show emotional attachment to a Rancor beast. But the Empire are so removed from humanity that they lost even the ability to tame and use any natural creatures.
Don't forget that the Empire uses Dianogas in their trash compacters. While Dianogas aren't mounts, they are intentionally used by the Empire. I say the Dianoga was intentional because I don't know of any way a terrestrial creature could end up on a space station built entirely out in space unless they intentionally brought it up.
That thing has a name? Wait you could role-played a Dianogas in a SW RPG, I bet? I always think of that as parasite, like mice and roaches that would be found on (real) aircraft carriers. But ok... dewbacks and dianogas... -- Dr. Core -------------------------------------------------- The Gundam Mailing List MK-II [email protected] Archives: http://www.gundam.com/gml Help: Email [EMAIL PROTECTED] with this in the BODY: help list
