Most of those animated sequences you see in EiS were animated for the game. You can tell, because they're of much lower quality than the stuff for the regular anime.

They do indeed appear in the series, as I just watched it again last week.

First appearance is around episode 5. I know what levels you're talking

about in the game, and they have nothing to do with the movie. It's from a

radio drama, I believe. The movie only featured about a minute or two of new

animation, and there's nothing that happens in the movie that wasn't already

depicted in the OVA.
