Yeah - but like the write-up said, I'd hate to be the first person to try
it! Although it would be cool to tool around the inside of a colony with.

The wings look tiny and incapable of horizontal flight, unless you
strap a ACME-size rocket on it (remind of Zudah again). Sure enough,
as one of the posters put it: "That's not flying. It's falling with
style." It's misleading to use the words "flight" and "flying wing"
on this gizmo (assuming you use the same definition of "flying" as
applied to the Wright brothers). It's a glider, like -Z- said
originally. If you filter out the speculative hype when you read it,
it doesn't seem any more dangerous than regular skydiving.

I find the following a slightly better article:

http://www.flightglobal.com/Articles/2006/05/30/206910/James+Bond-style+strap-on+jet+pack+flying+wing+to+extend+special+forces'.html

Then I followed on to the original developer:

http://www.esg.de/en/press/pressreleases/?tid=888&lang=en&hl=Gryphon#pattern

which doesn't use the words "flight" "fly" in the article. And it
explains the rather GLARING oddity: that there's no air intake or
exhaust outlet anywhere on the picture where the label "Twin micro
turbo jets" is shamelessly applied. Maybe it's the newfangled
emissionless jet engine?
