I agree with you. It's too busy & gunky looking. The face is borderline
evil looking. Chin is too long.
Compared to a Seed design, it isn't as busy. I will reserve judgment until
I see a prototype.
Ahem... let's not use Seed to venerate a CCA design, ok? Besides,
Hi-Nu is supposed to be a little busy (extremely busy for 1988). My
gripe isn't with the design, but with the styling/finish. It seems
a bit... ahh, I know! It's been 0080-ified. Figure that, huh?
But yes yes, initial lineart doesn't mean much. Let's reserve
judgment until Gunplablog posts finished photos.
I agree. There's something off about the drawing. Izubuchi looks like
he's trying to draw like Katoki--and it's not working.
Wasn't there a post a month or so ago on Gunota about Katoki standing
down from his model supervising role? I wonder what he's got planned?

Yes, I am definitely getting a few in this series (I assume it's a
series since they appended "Black 1" to the item name).
I was begging (loudly) for the most common type of HGUC stand ( e.g.
Asshima) to be released in a 3-pack or something. They've done a
little better, right? It's compatible with "everything" in 1/144
and 1/100 (even MSIA and HCMPro, I think), full of details and
possibilities... But... it's a bit too big for 1/144, and it doesn't
provide the "slot head" for many recent HG's (Asshima, Powered GM,
Gaza C, Murasame, etc)
I could have sworn Wave was coming out with a stand as well. Maybe
I'm just confusing it with this one from Bandai.
