I's reading the GML archive and saw you hurray on the Gelgoog cannon. I am
very happy too! Esp. this move may also mean the up-n-coming Dom Cannon
would have a Prototype Dom/Dessert Dom variation as well. I wouldn't agree
to you on throwing away Garma's Zaku II for being too minor a mod, but it's
still a significant piece after all the slience on UC MSV line since the MG
Perfect Zeong.
Up-n-coming Dom Cannon? It's a new rumor, or I am missing some news?
Well I don't think one single Gelgoog Cannon is enough to re-establish
a trend of old MSV. The confirmed trend is new variations that are
liberally inserted into the canon: AoZ, Igloo, games. How do you like
the AoZ styled GM Quel?
[There in How to Build Gundam II is this diorama of 2 Gelgoog, one with
Cannon backpack (but not Gelgoog Cannon head) and one regular, in guarding
post in a scene similar to MSG III (but it's one Gelgoog and one Zaku
there). I bet you'll see a remake of this diorama in HJ by the time the
model releases.]
Probably...
For the Macross thread, I agree on you that market is the big problem. The
destroids (other than Monster, of course) actually have a shared lower body,
so it's hard to justify to say Hasegawa not doing those designs because of
lack of shared part. But I wouldn't expect the Destroids would have too
small a market though... I think they're just living the way Bandai living
on Gundam-faces, playing it safe if boring.
If someone start making non-Valkyrie kits, I could get sucked into yet
one more kit line. I still have 3-4 boxes of MIB Hasegawa Valks on
the shelf. It could get ugly.
