Finally! We'll get what many of us have been waiting for. However....
Which MS do you think will be set aside for years down the road? With 0083,
it was Gundam unit 2 (okay we got it now...), Tetra, GM Cannon. 0080, we
don't have the Zaku Fz or Kampfer.
So what do you think will be in the first batch and what will be left for
later?

I think the Re-GZ and Jin will be left behind. It would be very mean of
BanDai to release Nu without Saz or Visa Versa.

Yeah, that's indeed been a long time coming. So long, it's almost
anticlimatic now. It would have been more exciting if it were
released before HGUC had absolutely ran out of current subject
matters. Anyway that's not to say it's not welcome.

It's pretty much a given that every series will be dragged out for
years. If you are complaining about GP02A, consider the Gelgoog and
Acguy! Actually, by finishing off a popular series like First, Bandai
risks losing the attention of a fraction of fans. Case in point, I am
less excited about Jagd Doga because with the red and gray Gelgoogs
out of the door, mentally I'm starting to phase gunpla out of my life.
6 months or a year ago, I would have order the JDoga and the
inevitable Nu without a hesitation. Now I will be very selective
about HGUC CCA kits, perhaps not even buying a single one.

About which MS getting deprioritized, it's probably quite
unpredictable because tie-in from other products (games, AoZ)
sometimes dictate the choice more than a "rational" release schedule
for a particular anime series/film. So HGUC GM Quel, Gundam Ground
Type and perhaps even GP02A are results of AoZ and game tie-in rather
than a revival of interest in the respective anime (0083, 08MST). If
you are hoping for a completion of HGUC CCA (or MG CCA for that
matter), make sure you have a 3+ year attention span.

Oh speaking of which, does it mean that HGUC is leaving 08MST at just
one kit (Ground Type Gundam)?

shot because it is a relatively simple design and it hasn't gotten a MG

resurrect the HG-M line an release an Alpha Azieru.

Hmmm I am not sure I agree with either point. In last couple years,
MG release doesn't seems to prevent HGUC release a short time later
(or sooner). Also unlike the first couple years of HGUC I don't think
obscure designs get any priority over mainline (i.e. Gundams) designs
nowadays. In fact, I am a little surprised that Jagd Doga trumped Nu.
So I will hedge my bet and say HGUC Nu Gundam is not very likely
within 2007 but extremely likely in Q1-Q3 2008.

And... not quite able to avoid making predictions, I'd also say HGUC
Re-GZ is quite likely in the near future.
