Interesting, but changing the face without part swapping would be a little challenging. > I am not sure your attempt to compare marketing potential in 1979 to 2007 is > a fair one. Well that's not exactly my main point, I was trying to say G00 and GU seems to be sprouting high-cost merchandise much faster than Seed (and incidentally everything else in Gundam or even anime history??). Since Seed, Turn-A was post-MG, it's not the main factor. Bandai is brewing some evolutionary strategy, they've (or they think they have) figured out how to make new stories that sell high-cost goodies out of the gate. > The introduction of the MG line in 1995 changed the face of ... May I suggest you didn't neglect my point, but actually did a decent job explaining it. > I am interested in how quickly a MG of GU came out. Of course GU and Hi-Nu are comparable in the sense they are both based on novels. Perhaps at some point AoZ will also graduate to a MG without anime. But if I can bet 25 cents, I'm guessing we will never see an MG AoZ nor an HG GU. -- Dr. Core -------------------------------------------------- The Gundam Mailing List MK-II [email protected] Archives: http://www.gundam.com/gml Help: Email [EMAIL PROTECTED] with this in the BODY: help list
