Well IIRC I've proclaimed that many times already. I've stopped purchasing HGUC/MG/PG kits, will resist strongly any further GC/EX/UCHG (and even the Keroro Robo Mk.II's) purchase. That leaves only SD Sangokuden. That's it. I leave the door open only for HGUC Zaku-Dom, because I am a huge fan of Aina; and EX Type 61, because the Megella-Attacks need a friend. But I no longer dream for the HGUC Kampfer, GM Cannon, FA Gundam, Hamma Hamma, Bound Doc and various ships. My heart did a little flutter when I saw the HGUC Re-GZ with Flight Pack, but ... eh... too little too late. So as it stands, my MG collection ended with the Ball, and my HGUC collection ended with the Zock, kind of comical when you think about it... Also I've satisfied myself with oogling online pix of various R3, G00 etc models. The G00 ship and grunt designs are cool, but not cool enough. > I'm having problem too, and with the next kid coming and first kid growing up > I > can see the progress slows down further. Recently finished (using that word very liberally here) Powerd GM, Lui Bei and Zhang Fei Gundams, and should finish the Zock soon. Cui Ying is now officially a hobbist, she cut out all the polycaps for Zhang Fei Gundam (yes, with my adult-size hobby clipper) and performed the last step: installed the V-fin "all my byself!" (sic) (come to think of it, "all my by self" isn't so wrong grammatically) It's a constant struggle to convince her that scalpel and model glue is still too grown-up for her. No... my reminiscensing was due to me running into Silver Khosla in Toronto. http://www.galaxie.ca/en/1/dj_view.php?id=56 And he recounted some inside stories about Bandai USA fumbled Gundam Wing's brief popularity. But that's a long and perhaps not too interesting story... > But my motto now is still, as from "Galaxy > Quest"... never give up, never surrender. Well then I counter with a Capt. Kirkism: change the rule of the game (quality standard) to fit the situation. It's better to finish all the kits than to finish a few kits perfectly. Now I am building kits in a manner that I scorned only a few years ago. If I had hobby time left after finishing the bulk of my collection, it will be spent on robotics, not polishing & custom paint plastic models. Ohhh... I picked up a couple antique kits in Toronto: the Super Thunderbolt and Super Bulldog from Hasegawa: http://www.toremmodellismo.it/1%20MIEI%20KIT/VARI/VARI_1.htm Do you remember those from the mid-80s? A few years ago I would stick them in storage and never build (nor forget) them. Now, hack, I already finished the Super Thunderbolt without painting during a couple of episodes of Dora the Explorer. -- Dr. Core -------------------------------------------------- The Gundam Mailing List MK-II [email protected] Archives: http://www.gundam.com/gml Help: Email [EMAIL PROTECTED] with this in the BODY: help list
