RE - Character screen time complaints.

True enough.  :P

I also agree that Azadistan will probably be where the most important parts of the story take place.  But the major powers have to factor in somehow.  How that happens, and what sides everyone ultimately ends up aligned on, is anyone's guess.

RE - OP

I didn't really care much either way about the OP song the first time I heard it.  But the tune has grown on me quite quickly.  Since my Japanese isn't very good, the lyrics haven't really stayed in my head (I've read the sub translation a few times, but quickly forget it).  I don't care at all for the end tune, though.

Ahh you were complaining that too many characters were getting equal
opportunity on screen time. I think it's great for the narrative to develop
fewer mini-arcs simultaneously and come back to AEU later on. As it is,
Ep.4 is already juggling 3 mini-arcs (Taribia, Azadistan and Sergei) while
also keeping two more balls in the air (CB and Saji Crossroad).

I won't predict one way or another how AEU factors in the future episodes.
But I'm pretty confident that most of the international conflicts so far
(Sri Lanka, S. Africa, N. Ireland) won't amount to the importance of
Azadistan in the story.

Ahh... animes do have a tendency to spoil the story with a bit too much info
in the OP/ED, so actually I've tried not to pay attention to the animation
during the songs. OTOH, I've followed the lyrics closely. Well with the
caveat that anime song lyrics tend to be the same all over... I think I like
the tone that's being conveyed.
