After watching episode 14, I take back everything I said to Core about the AEU possibly not being Ali's only master.  It seems pretty certain that he got orders to cause havoc on a massive scale, and those orders came from someone higher up in the AEU.  Presumeably elements in the AEU, which still hasn't finished their elevator and is probably weaker than the Union and HRL (it's pretty well stated in the first episode that their new Enact MS is a knockoff of the Union's own MS), are trying to weaken the HRL to provide a way for the AEU to catch up or pull ahead of the other two superpowers.  Presumeably whomever sent the most recent order to Ali also had him arrange the terrorist bombings to "protest" CB's involvement, and may have arranged the kidnapping of Massoud as well.  ! It also seems pretty clear from Ali's response to those orders that he's someone that actively enjoys causing chaos on as large of a scale as possible.   More questions about the backgrounds of characters.  Billy's obviously got a thing for Sumeragi.  Graham apparently killed a superior in a friendly fire incident during combat (it seems pretty clear that it happened, though from what I've seen of Graham the reason behind it probably isn't as sinister as it's made out to be).  Setsuna goes to Marina to look for answers to his inner demons.  Lockon's on good terms with one of the members of the bridge crew (what's up with that bathing suit?).  Felt covers for Setsuna for an unknown reason.  CB's apparently been secretly recruiting scientists for the last 200 years.   In the OP, we see Setsuna paired off against Ali.  No surprise there.  What is a bit more interesting is that Graham is paired off against Lockon.  It appears as if the brief matchup in episode 13 may have been a hint of things to come.  The Chinese pair are standing on a floor that has both a CB logo and a UN logo.  Is the UN a secret partner of CB?  We know Corner is tied to both, but there's been no evidence to date that anyone else in the UN is tied to CB.   And most importantly, we have three new Gundams.  And in the OP, it appears that those Gundams are a threat to the ones from the Ptolemais.       junior
