It was all I could do to wade through Dave Crocker's HTML and figure out what he was saying, but Chuck Gomes' reply was atrocious, even though it included both text and HTML versions. The text version had no distinuishing features between the quoted text and the parts that Chuck wrote, if any. I happen to read email with PINE on a UNIX server because it's the only way I have found to be able to keep a single email repository without carrying a laptop everywhere. As long as I have ssh access, I can get my email. And since datafellows.com makes it easy to download a trial version of ssh, there are very few places that I might go with no ssh capability.
