"I'm not very warm and fuzzy about the opinions of a bunch of self-appointed
critics out there," Roberts said. "They create a context of their own, they
create their own standards and then criticize us against those standards.... I
am responsive to criticisms that we don't live up to the standards set out in
the White Paper [that mandated ICANN]."
What an amazingly unresponsive, elitist thing to say. It's like saying "we
represent the public, who we really don't have any intention of listening to."
No wonder then need a PR firm.
