I like what you write roberto .....good questions.

I offer some evidence below as to the likely outcome.

By all means lets go to ICANN, but I would not expecta favorable hearing
from Roberts or Dyson.

==========================================================

Once again there is some fresh evidence of how Mike Roberts and Esther
Dyson are overseeing a stacked deck. The POC/CORE, INTA, ISOC backed
DNSO.org is the odds on inside favorite to be selected as the domain name
supporting organization - make no mistake about it. What's more, judging
by the identities of the sponsors of the january 22 meeting, it is very
likely that CIX and the major ISP's are now fully supportive of the stacked
ICANN/DNSO deck.

Why do I say this? Simple enlightenment when one of the best salesman of
internet connections in the world told me that he was not in favor of any
new top level domain names being added to the root servers. Why? I asked.
Because it leads to customer confusion and would make his selling job
somewhat harder came the response. The same reason that multiple root
servers would be seen as a disaster. Why? Because it would create doubts
in the minds of customers that they could get access to 100% of the global
internet if they bought through his company.

It is increasingly obvious that the role of dnso.org will be to see that
either none or at most very few new TLDS are recognized.

Apart from POC, PAB and CORE

Here are some of the supporters of dnso.org....
speaking of....aren't they going to hold a meeting in the United states
before the end of the month?

Here is a claim that has been made about the US meeting:

"People representing organizations with a direct stake in the DNSO will
be actively participating in the meeting, a summary of the meeting will
be made public, and some observers will be invited to attend."

The following is a list of most of the people that the dnso.org fixers seem
to think have a direct stake in the dnso. those being ommitted are
noteable. knowing how ICANN and its DNSO.org minions operate the
ommissions should not surprise anyone.

1. Netsearchers International LTD: Our Aim - We aim to provide brand and
trade mark professionals with assistance in monitoring and protecting their

That *these* are most of the people who the dnso.org folk think are the
stake holders in the DNS game speaks volumes about where their hearts and
minds are.
