Contrary to the popular image of attorneys as ambulance chasers,
attorneys are not allowed to run out and gather up clients. It takes
a handful of clients (or even one) with enough $$ to bankroll such
a project, and then once it becomes possible to qualify a class,
then and only then can the firm or firms involved run ads, along
the line of "if you have done x (or had x done to you), you may be
qualified . . ." blah, blah. The Boise-Cascade siding case is a
good example.
