Don't know if people realize here that Hans is chair of ETNO - which
is the current incarnation of the CEPT - the monopoly organization
of European PTTs. It was the most closed, controlling telecom
organization that ever existed. Hans apparently doesn't do email,
and the ETNO website lists the x400 address first - in an era
when most people don't know what an x400 address even is.
Another thing - Hans is effectively a quasi-government official in
that capacity - and part of the European strategic policy establishment
attempting to achieve advantages for European industry vis-a-vis
U.S.
