Unfortunately, direct observation seems to be in contradiction from your
statements. On one side we have what can be read as drafted, an on
the other, we have Kent Crispin's word-for-it.

Sorry, Kent, I'm sure you're a fine human being, but I'm not going
to just take your word for it.
