I've got one more thing to say on this subject, and I'm going to allow
myself to do so, despite remonstrances from Ken and Mikki for everyone to
shut up.
I think the people who say that everyone's complaining and bickering too
much are off the track by a mile. Oh, sure, maybe it's mostly a lot of
wasted energy and not very productive, but there's a good reason for it.
We've been denied access to the people who are making decisions for our
future. That's a pretty frustrating situation. Personally, I take my hat off
to the people on this and the other lists who, in my opinion, and contrary
to what Ken and Mikki just said, are all showing admirable restraint. I
wouldn't be surprised if instead of complaining, people started screaming
and hurling insults and invective and even took action into their own hands.
We've been told by people we don't know and have no reason to trust that
they're going to decide what's going to become of our beloved Internet.
That's an intolerable situation. Blowing off a little steam on these lists
is the very tiniest, littlest, infinitesimal bit of reaction that's to be
expected.
