William and all,
Ok WIlliam, you have made comments and statements like this in the
past, an they never came to pass. I suspect this is primarily due to
a lack of proper funding or inability to "Pull it off" as many other's have
experienced as well. ORSC has Stef has stated clearly is not in a
financial position to really offer a alternative that would be stable and
viable over the long term. Although ORSC's ideas and considerations
are indeed laudable, they seemingly lack the personal and financial
commitment. As such, along with your statements here, I am afraid
that it is a bit much for me and INEGroup to swallow at this time.
As I personally offered to Stef to put up or shut up already several times
and have the financial resources to assist them co-operatively I am
AT THIS TIME doubtful that ORSC has the level of commitment to
do as you and a few others have suggested. It is however technically
feasible and potentially viable, but it takes allot of MONEY and personal
DEDICATION to make it happen.
We [INEGroup] along with three VC organizations that I personally
have discussed this potential opportunity with are willing to pony up
the VAST majority of the funding as well as offer quite a bit of
other assistance in terms of marketing and technical expertise, to
assist in a SERIOUS effort in this area separate from NSI as well
as ICANN.
