All this conflict over names and numbers!
What a silly mess. Numbers can be generated
in an infinite sequence and pretty much
automatically allocated to one and all for
next to nothing. And address names can be
pretty much anything people like or wish
to utilize in any language character set
they choose. The only proviso is that both
be unique and connectable. So that when
one is entered in various communications
modes the other is contacted reliably.

People aren't so stupid that they can't
live without dot com this or www that.
We've been doing quite well without them
for millenia thank you very much. And
the rest of the technical mumbo jumbo
can be easily handled by the modern
 computer appliances. Enough of this
damned nonsense. Let's get on with
 relatively free communications. We
 need more restriction and regulation
of Internet addressing like we need
 more ecological degradation and decay.
