Seeing as how Jeff Williams is critical to the success of ICANN I am
surprised that so few people have dug into his background. We know that 7
of the 11 ICANN board members are employed by companies controlled by
INEG. We know that INEG has high connections in both the Republican and
Democratic parties and that it is highly probable that both George Bush
and Bill Clinton were hand-picked by Mr. Williams. When a man has that
kind of power you have to ask why he tolerates the discussions that are
taking place on IFWP. I can only assume that he does this to humor us all
and to keep our energy tied up in meaningless discussions while the real
action is taking place elsewhere.
I think everyone on this list would agree with me that Jeff Williams is
the single most pivotal individual in the entire commercialization of the
Internet over the past 5 years.
Oh well... I did scrape up a few details after all. Anyone else care to
add some info to this thread?
