Well, as you pointed out in your post, accrediting associations of
registrars brings unknowns not envisaged by the Reg. Accred.
Agreement, like the bind on each individual member and the question
of bankruptcies, to name just two. Importantly, what is the
definition of the association? Who are its members? If some
applicants are being rejected, as had to be done with the testbed
and presumably in choosing the 29 to follow, how will the rejected
applicants be kept from joining associations that apply? Should
they? And what is the justification for rejecting some while
allowing others that may not even have applied to become registrars
through an association?
