I think the "trademark interests" are unhappy with cybersquatting, not opposed to registration of free speech or other "noncommercial" domain names. Unfortunately I don't see any practical means of relieving their anxiety. As long as people are out there acquiring domain names for the purpose of reselling them, and "trademark interests" feel this hurts their business, they'll fight for rights to get the names they want. --gregbo
