Right, I figured that it wasn't NSI's doing, but IANA/ICANN's lack of
ability to have their own official copy of the root zone contact database.
In any event, it is not a good thing and needs to be fixed. The onus and
responsibility of doing so is on IANA and/or ICANN.
One would suspect that out of ICANN's proposed $5,000,000/year budget with
14 people on staff (some of whom, according to the budget, would receive
six figure salaries) that they could fix this.
