Javier, You need to read the bylaws. Art VIB Sec2h requires that the NC
meetings be open to the public. As a general rule I favor "sunshine", and
given the tone of ICANN proceedings to date I feel more strongly than
normal. The NC should have nothing to hide from those interested in
contributing. Don Telage

I would like to remind NC members and observers that e-mail is private, and
that if you wish to send, out of this list (to a person for whom the sender
did not intend the e-mail), anything sent to the list, you should ask
permission from the sender.
Privacy does not include secrecy. If you wish to report on something, feel
free to do it, unless the NC decides otherwise, but do not copy e-mail out,
fully or partially. Remember that an e-mail is the intellectual property of
the sender, and as such, you have no right to reproduce it without the
author's permission..
Besides that, I would like to share with you Michael Sondow's comments. If
you are not familiar with Michael Sondow, you will soon be. Again, if you
think that we should include Sondow in the teleconference, please say so.
My opinion has not changed.

Javier Sola- What is the meaning of this outrage? How dare you use your
unofficial position as organizer of the ICANN/DNSO Names Council
meetings to try and deprive a constituency organizer of the right to
participate in the Names Council teleconference? Send me the details of the
teleconference immediately, and put my email address back on the DNSO
mailing lists I subscribed to, or I will file a complaint against you with
the U.S. Department of Justice.
Michael Sondow (ICIIU)
Sent by Sola today: NC members, I have been following the developments
in the non-commercial constituency, and they have got to a point in which
there seems to be an understanding between ISOC and ACM to
work together, and that this understanding will create a joint
effort that will end up in a non-commercial constituency being
accepted by ICANN in Santiago. They have requested to be included in the
conference call as observers. I believe that they should be there. Please
state your opinions. I have also received a request from Michael Sondow
to be in the conference call. My personal advice is that
this in not a very good idea or precedent, but if the NC wants to
also include him, I will be happy to send the details to him.
Javier
