Richard and all,

Especially you Vinton! Yeah, Richard, that thought had crossed my mind
as well when reading this. But my main thought was the "Caliber" of
MCI's management and their involvement with ICANN through the GIP....

Sort of like the quadriplegic? blind, leading the blind, if you catch my
drift here....

Of course the as Vinton says, the Internet is for everybody, eh? >;)
But it makes one stop to wonder if there will be an Internet left when
this sort of leadership is done with it....

You know RIchard, and yes you too Vinton, this article also got me to
thinking back, and than reviewing some exchanges I had with Vinton
in the early stages of the GIP regarding funding. I originally offered
to provision some substantial funding for the GIP (I am sure that you
remember these E-Mail exchanges don't you Vinton?) But after Vinton
suggested that I confer with George Sorros (Another GIP funder) and I
did a little checking, I found out that "Good old George", in FY '98 had
managed to lose his customers $1B+, I quickly reconsidered, and
began to realize that there was a fairly serious problem form a thinking
standpoint here.... Oh yes, as I also recall John Patrick (IBM) and
Roger Cochetti (IBM) were copied on those E-mail exchanges as well....

It gets more interesting all the time doesn't it Richard? >;)
