All,

On the other hand, Australia court rules, see:
http://www.austlii.edu.au/au/cases/nsw/supreme_ct/1999/526.html

Excerpt:
A Supreme Court judge in the Australian State of New South
Wales ruled on June 2nd that the court did not have
jurisdiction to order a man to cease publishing defamatory
material about Australia's Macquarie Bank on the Internet. The
bank had asked the court for an injunction preventing the
posting of allegedly defamatory material by Charles Joseph
Berg, a former employee, on a site at
http://www.macquarieontrial.com. While the judge was satisfied
that the material on the site was defamatory, she ruled that
the court could not order the compliance of an individual
presumed to be in the U.S.
