One issue eft on the POISSON charter is how we select the IETF
candidates for the PSO offiocer functions (see
draft-ietf-poisson-pso-00.txt) I think these PSO positions are:
- 2 members for the protocol council
- candidates for the position of ICANN board director (from amongst
whom the protocol council will select the board members).

>From earlier discussions there appear to be two options:
1- Let the nomcom fill all of these from scratch
2- Add these to the job description of IAB (and IESG) and let the
nomcom take that into account in appointing IAB members (and IESG
members). (so IAB/IESG membrs function as the two protocol council
members and provide the candidate for the board).

I'd like to see some discussion on this on the list so we can see if
we can get consensus.

We also need to decide how to appoint the first slate of these, since
ICANN expects these before november 1st, and whatever proces we decide
on may not be functional by that date.

Erik
