Yes, and we are now relying on something forced to provide inappropriate
features on which we will only need to rely more as we move to IPv6.
It is the failure to deploy effective directory services that has created
this immense problem, and I am suggesting that the solution is to solve this
problem, not the tar-babies in which we are all en-mired.
Centraal's RealNames is doing so, in a very questionable and woefully
unscaleable fashion, but has accomplished so much because they are solving
the problems of consumers directly.
