Uh, Bill, Richard was merely providing information on how you can
easily and quickly configure your machine to resolve new domains.
There was no arrogance or condescension in his message that I could
detect at all.
I would venture to say that a good number of participants on this list
did not know this information, and Richard provided it in a clear, and
simple manner.
It seems you are so quick to jump on people who get into things you
don't understand, and accuse them of technonerdyism (or whatever that
phrase you coined was) or arrogance or "know it all" attitudes.
Perhaps you are being a little to sensitive. I am sure others on this
list found Richards post most informative and helpful, and explaining
how it doesn't matter what browser you are using, or what ISP you are
on, or what kind of domain you have. And I am sure there were people
on this list who perhaps were confused by that point, who might have a
better understanding now.
Remember, there is no fault with saying you don't know something.
Ignorance is 100% curable, its stupity that isn't. It's almost always
fatal.
I've known Richard through these lists for a number of years, and I
can say myself that he tends to be one of the more "helpful" people
here, as far as explaining things to those who might not understand
what is being discussed, rather in public or private, and without the
arrogance you are attaching to him.
Lets be a little less sensitive, ok?
