I prefer voting as a gauge to measure both consensus and disagreement.
This is why I designed my Polling Booth.
It has the following options:
1. For/Against
2. Yes/No

3. Opinion 10 scale
4. Opinion 100 scale
5. Opinion -5 to +5 scale

6. List (radio buttons or ONE item to select)
7. List, Multiple selection list (tick boxes)
8. List, 3 options per item: approve, neutral, disapprove.

Those who have shown the most vehement opposition to using a voting system,
stand out as the ones who want to manipulate "consensus".
