WENDY'S SUES OVER WEB SITE
It was reported on September 10th that Wendy's International is
suing a Texas company for registering web sites with its name and
then attempting to sell them back to the fast-food chain. The
suit was filed in the U.S. District Court in Columbus, Ohio
against alleged "cyberpirate" Brenan Hofstadter and his company,
Beswick Adams Corp. The suit charges that the defendants devised
a plan to extort monies from Wendy's and 10 other major U.S.
corporations. The domain names registered included
www.Wendys.org, www.WendysRestaurant.com,
www.WendysRestaurants.com and WendysIntlInc.com. The official
