To which I responded, with all due respect (cough), I think they should be
entitled to an opportunity to speak for themselves.

Unfortunately, the only newly elected members who responded were Amadeu and
Jon Cohen, who both vigorously support the UDRP.  I cannot fathom why
Pindar Wong or Ken Fockler or the others didn't use this opportunity to
pursue the question, or even to present their own views on this matter.

ICANN deftly avoided allowing the first elected board members to have a
policy voice in one of the most controversial issues facing the corporation.
