I'm in the middle of a comprehensive scan of the dot.gov. and dot.mil infrastructure and i'm coming across some issues which should concern us all. Many of my scanning daemon have started reporting to me that they are finding open proxy servers. This sort of thing can be seriously abused by any malicious attacker. A proxy server which is open to the outside world can allow access to internal servers. I beginning to suspect that alot of my governments yada yada's over security is nothing more then bunk. If a foreign nation were interested in destabilizing the American government - I can say with absolutly certainty that it could be done - with ease. This does not help me to sleep well at night.
