The TXT >record seems to be 1000 digits - has it tickled limit in BIND? It looks like it. When I try that, the TC (truncated) flag is set in the response, but the TXT record isn't returned. "dig +vc 3.1415926.org txt" also fails. On the other hand, if I do an ANY query to my caching server, it *is* able to get all the records, including the TXT record. Further queries then respond from the cache, and succeed. Sounds like a BIND bug, to me. -- Barry Margolin, [EMAIL PROTECTED] GTE Internetworking, Powered by BBN, Burlington, MA *** DON'T SEND TECHNICAL QUESTIONS DIRECTLY TO ME, post them to newsgroups.
