By democracy I take it your not attempting to refer to the old way of
doing things which get's passed on by the media as democracy.  The
democracy we have now is not much more then pablum for the masses.

I agree with your observations, except for the future tense.  It's not
going to happen - it has happened and has been gaining momentum for the
last few years.

The internet has done more to move politicians off their buts then any
other form of communicatio ever know to man.

And that is why in the long run ICANN itself will be disenfranchised and
alot of people are going to end up look ridiculous.
