Interesting.....

Anyone who was on this list for the past 7 years or so MAY remember me
suggesting this exact same thing.  A distro "shootout" so to speak
(and at that time I was a huge Slackware fan).  It got shot down in
flames, essentially being called a "pissing contest".  Perhaps times
have changed since then.

At this stage, I will be more than happy to skip my Tuesday pool night
and actually attend a LUG meeting, and give a presentation on Ubuntu
(and Slackware if needed)....

However, I also want to play devil's advocate here and also present a
Windows platform.

Before everyone says "WTF, Gene flipped sides?!!!", hear me out.

1.  I do not work for M$, and I still truly hate the way the company
does business.
2.  Keeping #1 in mind, they are still doing a few things right (and
most things wrong).
3.  There have been several posts on this list saying "Windows is the
best server for Windows".....which I happen to agree with.

Anyway....my .02...
