Its come up a few times, and at some recent past meetings. Not sure what the group interest is, but maybe we should plan for an install fest in October. Our version of the Oktoberfest, can call it a Linuxfest if you like. Either way, might be a good month and time to organize such. Before the holidays set in, distractions and all :)
Likely have the install fest/Linux fest at Peak10. But can do it else where that has Internet access, wifi, etc. Unfortunately likely not an event where there will be beer or alcohol, not that kinda fest. Though can probably arrange for food, and Peak10 has refreshments. We can widen the scope to a bit more than just install fest, social stuff, meetings, etc. Kinda like a mini event or conference, but just us locals ;) Any interest, thoughts, comments, vegetables to throw? -- William L.
