I've got a hacked Wii. It's very difficult to maintain due to having to know what to get when etc, very similar to a standard linux distro :P.
The directions supplied here are a bit inadequate for hacking the Wii. I'm sure this has been pointed out, but wanted to make it very obvious. The problem is, as the system updates happen they block the ability to hack the Wii. Though it has linux, I haven't even bothered with installing any linux shell. I'm cool with just using the homebrew applications (specifically, WiiMC). Please be very careful hacking your Wii, it's risky business if you're not absolutely sure about how to do it.
