Here are a few topics on my mind for upcoming meetings. If anyone wants to present on any of the following that would be great. I will be doing a presentation on diskless systems either next month, or in March. Thats really up to the group as to when I do that presentation.
Other than that, anyone care to present on the following Stateful Firewalls With a bit of firewalling in general, but mostly covering stateful, as basic iptables stuff most should be familiar with. IDS, likely Snort, Sagan, and Base SANs + iSCSI, or each could be its own, maybe even covering other stuff like NFS, NAS and other means of network storage. Configuration management, likely Cfengine, but can cover others like Puppet, etc. Those are the topics I have on the mind and have come up at times during discussions at past LUG meetings. Others are welcome to suggest a topic, even better if its one you plan to do a presentation on. Also if anyone has any vendor contacts for outside presenters, we should look to bring in at least a few of those each year. That can be some what of a sales agenda just the same.
