Honestly, I've done the same thing on a pretty difficult to work with
area. I had an older model compact laptop I was working with and used
my desoldering iron which has a ball for sucking in the solder. It
worked flawlessly, and I'd be glad to let you use it if you like. Not
a professional station of course, but I couldn't imagine this jack
would be much different than the one I did.

If you wanted to take a pic to see if I might get a better idea of
what you're working with I'd be glad to take a look and give you a
better idea if it can be done the way I've done it before.
