FYI meeting at Peak10 is not tied to me at all. Peak10 will offer their
venue to any technical group that would like to use their facilities.
The JaxLUG can meet there as long as they elect to do such. Also Peak10
is likely going to expanding their meeting/event facilities later in the
year.

There are many other locations in town. ITT Tech a block over from
Peak10 has offered to host as well. However one nice thing about Peak10,
is the data center tours. For many that might be the first time they
ever set foot in a data center. It can be inspirational, motivational,
and for some a bit over whelming. At a recent JaxJUG meeting on guy from
a staffing company I believe, was going on and on about his experience
seeing one of Colo5's data centers/rooms. Something he never saw before.

I also think its pretty cool the meetings take place in the same
building that houses the JaxLUG VM/services. Though thats likely to
change, and likely to leave the area once again. Before I took things
over, both the mailing list, and website were not hosted in Florida, or
in Jacksonville. I would hope that might remain going forward. But thats
up to the group to decided.

I did try to get Peak10 to sponsor, provide resources and host the
JaxLUG services prior to me taking them over. Unfortunately that did not
happen, as it would have allowed for others to participate more in
administration, not be bound to me, etc.
