Clearly if there was more acknowledgment, then I would not feel the need
to make it known.

You may think that, but it happens in many communities. I am sorry the
JaxLUG does not have a code of conduct. But I can assure you other list
admins would have done the exact same thing. You can see it as childish,
but its the job of a good systems administrator to remove those who are
not contributing constructively. If you feel otherwise that is your
opinion.

If you have been part of enough communities, you will see people getting
removed and banned from lists. This happened to me and many others on
Gentoo mailing and its part of why I left. In fact a temporary ban that
was put into place on Gentoo against me remained for over 2yrs. Major
mistakes were made all around.

I wish I could disappear. I could just shut things down and go away like
other past admins did. At this time there is no one to take over the
mailing list. I am forced to continue on. I can be silent yes, but I am
still footing the bill for all this.

Most of my breach of silence was to inform people of things for a smooth
transition. Which it was requested of me that I oversee things.

Sorry but I could just as easily justify any actions being the current
systems administrator. I do have responsibilities there, beyond just
keeping things up and running.

Ok, good to know, thanks!

Problem is these are not Linux topics, and the disagreements are not
over technical matters or even Linux.
