Linux gamers greater than I,

I've ran Myst and Riven (Myst II) under WINE without any problems (or
at least not too many that I couldn't figure out). But now I'm
getting my @$$ thoroughly handed to me... Myst Exile installs just
fine, but when I try and run it, I get this error:

err:winediag:X11DRV_WineGL_InitOpenglInfo Direct rendering is
disabled, most likely your OpenGL drivers haven't been installed
correctly (using GL renderer "Mesa DRI Intel(R) Sandybridge Desktop
", version "1.4 (2.1 Mesa 7.9.2)").

then the program starts up, a wine window opens, and a widows error pops up:

A debugger has been detected.
Unload the debugger and try again.

Googling on those errors has led me in circles...

I've read on the wine forums that those who have played this game on
wine with the DVD version haven't had any issue with it. Of course
mine is the multiple cd-rom version...

I've tried running this program on Win7 and XP both running under
VirtualBox, but there I run into other errors that I'm really tired of
googling.

Any suggestions?
I'd really like to get this game running... my sanity may depend on it.

Rob.
