I am in the market for a new work laptop. I recently purchased a Lenovo W520 for personal use, and would have loved to get an identical one for work, but Lenovo have stopped making them. A pity, as it's an awesome machine (i7, 1080p, 8GB RAM, 500GB HDD, etc., and Debian rocks on it) and I got it for a great price... Does anyone here have any experience with Lenovo Y-series and Debian? They seem to offer a lot of bang for the buck. While I would prefer a W or T series, the Y series seems to have most of what I want - though the lack of an optical drive is unfortunate... Any other recommendations?
