I've been working on and off (mostly off lately) on using CFMX and the Amazon web services. The attached file does a item search and returns results in a pretty basic layout. It's a real pain to extract the data you're looking for. I've added some comments to explain some of what's going on. All you need to make it work is a subid.
The framework is simple enough and can easily be expanded upon.
