Technologist Role Description

COLDFUSION MX / MYSQL dB Developer

Primary skill: Web Development/Programming
Additional Skills: COLD FUSION, MYSQL
Additional skills: CSS,JavaScript,DHTML

We're looking for an independent professional to assist in the upgrade
of an existing codebase for the commerce site of a manufacturing
company. The project may include both simple interface-level upgrades,
as well as more complex integration with accounting software.

The specifications are still being worked out with the client, and so
at this point please describe in your bid your experience with
ColdFusion application development (pointers to live sites you
developed are helpful), your hourly rate range and availability. If
selected for further discussion we'll refine the deliverables and ask
to you deliver a 'not-to-exceed' bid. If selected, you'll bill
through the Guru SafePay system. Future projects are possible.

Our expertise centers on Microsoft-based technologies, and so we're
looking for a solid pro who can head up the ColdFusion and MYSQL
development. We're looking for someone who is architecturally-minded
and can communicate well with clients and other members of the project
team.

In addition to deep experience developing using Macromedia/Adobe
products and data environments, you should have these three key
traits:

1)Strong interface-level programming (CSS/DTHML/JS) skills
2)Experience and infrastructure for working independently
3)Availability during December and January for 50-100 hours

Our firm is comprised of top web professionals. You'll work in a
flexible virtual team with smart, high-integrity independents like
you. If successful and efficient, you will be invited by the team to
participate in additional projects.

You can work from home, and most conferences are done by phone, but
you must be able to come to occasional meetings in Dallas.

Employer questions:
(1) Describe your ColdFusion web application experience.
(2) What are the most complex yet stable systems you've developed?
(3) How are you set up to work independently?
